SPECIAL COMPONENT OF SAMPOORNA GRAMIN ROZGAR YOJNA.
The erstwhile Food for Work Programmes launched in January 2001 was discontinued with effect from 31.3.2002. However the programme has been allowed to continue as a Special Component of Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojna with a view to extending support to the drought affected families of States. Sanction letters for release of foodgrains under the Spl. Comp. of SGRY would be issued by the Ministry of Rural Development, being nodal Ministry, after getting the approval of our Ministry for the quantity to be released, directly to FCI under intimation to this Department.
Allocation and offtake of foodgrains under the scheme during 2002-03, 2003-04, 2004-2005 & 2005-06 is as under: -
